Anders Nordentoft

Anders Nordentoft’s starting-point was energetic, direct music with a rhythmic appeal as it is heard in his orchestral piece 'Entgegen' from 1985. His working proces is intuitive, dictated by the immediate inspiration. Musical material and form arise from concentrated listening, and structure is merely a result of the shaping of sound. In his recent big work, the music theater piece 'On This Planet', he merges avant-garde instrumental music and rock songwriting in a very personal musical expression.
