The Danish Radio Sinfonietta

Denmark

As one of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s five ensembles the Danish Radio Sinfonietta is an active participant in Danish musical life. Danish music has a particular place in the orchestra’s heart, as can be heard in the many radio broadcasts, concerts and CDs that the orchestra produces every year. The Danish Radio Sinfonietta has been called 'Denmark’s best Mozart orchestra', and the music of Vienna Classicism is in fact perfectly suited to the size of the orchestra. The Danish Radio Sinfonietta also has a strong commitment to the music of recent times: its recording of Vagn Holmboe’s collected chamber concertos with Hannu Koivula as conductor has aroused great attention both in Denmark and abroad.

The Danish Radio Sinfonietta will perform on Skolekoncert of NORDIC MUSIC DAYS 2010.
