Eyvind Gulbrandsen was born in Oslo, Norway. He was educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark, studying composition with teachers such as Karl Aage Rasmussen, Bent Sørensen, Rolf Wallin, Olav Anton Thommessen a.o. Gulbrandsen is now living and working as a composer in Denmark and he writes both instrumental and electronic music.
