Kari Beate Tandberg
The Norwegian composer Kari Beate Tandberg started her musical career as a pianist, receiving her diploma degree in composition at the Norwegian State Academy (NSAM) in 2002. Tandberg has contributed to the contemporary musical scene with several important pieces, and her music has been performed in several European countries and in Japan.
Among her most acknowledged works are Abstraktes Bild (2001) for string orchestra, Optophonia for large sinfonietta (2005) and Dwindle (2009) for string quartet of which the latter will be performed during Nordic Music Days 2010 in Copenhagen.
