Per Nørgård

Per Nørgård is one of the most original artists in Danish cultural life. His music and his work as a composer, lecturer and theorist through nearly half a century, has had enormous impact on the development of contemporary Danish sound art. Per Nørgård developed the so-called infinity series with specific combinations of intervals as well as working with the golden mean. Nørgård has written works within all categories, and for amateurs as well as professionals: From large scale operas to simple hymns, from single movements to colossal constructions.
