Pär Lindgren

Pär Lindgren was born in Gothenburg and educated at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he is now a professor of composition. Over time, Lindgren's focus has gradually shifted from the field of electronical music towards a more instrumental expression. Various sources of inspiration are present in his music: many of his works are based on visual images and patterns, others are based on structural elements from natural phenomena. His music also sometimes draws on ethnic music from different cultures.
