Rune Glerup

Rune Glerup is a Danish composer and conductor. He started composing already as a child, and has since then studied with a number of composers in Denmark and abroad. His work has been rewarded with a number of stipends, among others the prestigious stipend for young musicians from the Léonie Sonning Music Foundation, and yearly working grants from the Danish Arts Foundation. In 2009 Glerup became conductor and artistic director of Ensemble Contemporánea, a Danish ensemble specialized in performing with electronics. And from 2010 to 2011, he will continue his studies at IRCAM in Paris.
